About Dr. McConnell

Current Professional Activities

In addition to working in private practice, Dr. McConnell is a staff Psychologist at BC Children's Hospital, where she works with children and teens who have medical conditions, mental health concerns, developmental disabilities, and/or learning difficulties. She provides psychological assessment, treatment, and consultation for children and teens, as well as support for their parents and caregivers.

Professional Affiliations

Dr. McConnell is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (Registrant #01762). She is a member of several professional organizations, including the British Columbia Psychological Association, the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, the Society of Child and Adolescent Psychology, and the Society of Pediatric Psychology.

Education

After finishing her undergraduate education at Simon Fraser University, Dr. McConnell earned a Masters degree at Clark University (in Massachusetts) and a doctoral degree at the University of Vermont. Dr. McConnell upgrades her knowledge and skills in the practice of psychology through regular continuing education seminars and courses.
